Event details

How do we move from momentum to transformation? How can business schools become engines of positive change?

Mainstreaming the SDGs in Business Education invites business school educators and leaders to move beyond awareness and into action, using the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a practical, strategic framework to drive meaningful change within their institutions.

Whether you’re just starting your sustainability journey or looking to elevate your school’s impact, this experience offers more than just insight – it provides the tools, inspiration, and collaborative environment needed to embed ethics, responsibility, and sustainability deep into the fabric of your programmes, policies, and culture.

Over four weeks, through five live sessions, expert mentoring, and a collaborative, hands-on project, you’ll explore how the SDGs can become more than just a framework – they become a powerful strategy for ethical leadership, institutional innovation, and long-term value.

Target group

Ideal for Associate Deans, Programme Directors, Accreditation Leads, Sustainability Champions, and any professional committed to embedding sustainability into their institutional DNA. Whether you’re seeking structure or a spark of innovation, this workshop will help you move from intention to implementation.

Learning objectives

  • Reflect on your institution’s current sustainability landscape
  • Identify gaps, opportunities, and existing strengths
  • Learn from global best practices and peer institutions
  • Co-create a strategic, actionable plan aligned with your school’s mission and SDG priorities
  • Discover how to embed ERS into operations, teaching, research, and outreach

Participants' testimonials

This was an excellent course. It provided a strong grounding in the SDGs and the implications of implementing them in the curriculum. All the speakers were excellent, and there was plenty of time and support for working on our own implementation strategies. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to get to grips with mainstreaming the SDGs in their own curriculum.

Taking up a new role in sustainability in our school, the EFMD course on mainstreaming SDGs in management education happened right in time. I expected to learn from other institutes, about existing policies, how to make this happen... The course checked all these boxes but far more: the open and sharing attitude of the peers and facilitators created a safe environment to talk about challenges, to be inspired, to feel supported,... Filling out the SDG integration template helped to take a leap forward. Would highly recommend this course, even if you are not explicitly using the SDGs as a framework in your institute.
