Event Details
In light of the current pandemic, EFMD together with the 2020 original conference host, University of Cape Town, Graduate School of Business, have decided to offer this event online.
The event will span over three days, where most activities will take place from 11am to 2pm CET. Each day consisting of the following three pillars:
- starting the day with a session bringing in content using scenario planning exercises*
- going in depth and exchanging with the authors of the EiP – Excellence in Practice Award cases;
- connecting with other participants in smaller groups or on individual basis during pre-scheduled meetings.
* Objectives for the three scenario planning sessions:
- To “look out the window” to try to understand what a world post or with COVID-19 might look like;
- To identify innovative, non-obvious responses that may not be apparent using normal planning processes;
- To help the participants start to build a consolidated response strategy for impact, for their organization;
- To identify common denominators within or across scenarios, for future sharing or cooperation;
We know that the connection between the business school and the corporate world is invaluable to management education.
We therefore want to make sure that this conference, even if it will be delivered online, is a unique forum to foster discussion and connection between corporate and business school professionals.
Cultivating a diverse community of representatives from the executive development ecosystem broadens the conversation and ensures that the contribution of executive development to business is even more valuable.
Supported by EFMD steering committee members
This conference is being built with the expertise of our committee members from the following institutions:
