The EFMD Job Fair for PhDs in Business and Management is a 3-day event that brings together in an online environment job-seeking PhD candidates in all areas of Management and faculty and recruiters from international business schools and universities.
Why?
The EFMD PhD Job Fair gathers PhDs from all areas in Management and recruiters from the most prestigious international schools.
During the first editions, more than 100 schools from all over the world sent their representatives – recruiters and candidates – to take advantage of this opportunity. China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Monash Business School, NEOMA Business School and IE Business School, just to mention a few of the recruiting schools, interviewed and recruited talented young researchers to complete their academic team.
What makes this Job Fair unique?
- 2 WEEKS before the event: the option for the recruiters to schedule online interviews with the candidates
- 3 DAYS of online interactions between PhD candidates and recruiters from International business schools and universities
- ONLINE PLATFORM for PhD candidates to host their job market video presentation and get interviews
How does it work?
Candidates can build their profile displaying their job market video presentations on the platform. Recruiting institutions also have a virtual space to present their schools, job offers, as well as booth schedules to host Q&A sessions.

Designing your Research Agenda for Impact
As emerging scholars, we are passionate and driven by a promise that our work will indeed make a difference. To realize that promise, we need to be more systematic in how we think about scholarly impact. It is not just about papers and citations — though that does make a big difference — but it is also about how we define research more broadly as thought leadership. In this session, we explore and share tips on how we could have a broader interpretation of impact, and identifying how you could go about picking projects and partners to make that happen.
- Gerard George, Dean and Lee Kong Chian Chair Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Singapore Management University, SG
