This event encompasses all the different facets of doctoral education around the world. Created specifically for business school professionals in charge of doctoral programmes and research, it addresses the challenges within different types of doctoral programmes (PhD, DBA, …) Follow the global trends and keep your innovative spark alive as we continually examine different models for doctoral training including research mobility, research placement, the nature of the curriculum and international cooperation.

Call for Contributions

The theme of this year’s Doctoral Programmes Conference is “embracing challenges in doctoral education,” and it will be approached from four key angles: mental health, recruitment, engagement, and employability.

If your institution or doctoral programme has had some successes around those topics, we want to hear from you! This call for contributions is for you, so please participate!

Conference Fees

Early Bird Fee until February 24, 2023 (included)

  • EFMD Full members: € 675 (€ 742,50 incl 10%VAT)
  • EFMD Affiliated/Associate members: € 825 (€ 907,50 incl 10%VAT)
  • EFMD non-members: € 975 (€ 1072,50 incl 10%VAT)

Normal Fee from February 25, 2022 until April 21, 2023 (included)

  • EFMD Full members: € 875 (€ 962,50 incl 10%VAT)
  • EFMD Affiliated/Associate members: € 1025 (€ 1127,50 incl 10%VAT)
  • EFMD non-members: €1225 (€ 1347,50 incl 10%VAT)

Late Fee from April 22, 2023

  • EFMD Full members: € 975 (€ 1072,50 incl 10%VAT)
  • EFMD Affiliated/Associate members: € 1125 (€ 1237,50 incl 10%VAT)
  • EFMD non-members: € 1375 (€ 1512,50 incl 10%VAT)

Please note that the payment needs to be made within the applicable fee deadline.

Please note that a discount of 25% applies for every third and further participant from the same institution. If you are the third person of your institution to register, please contact doctoral@efmdglobal.org to receive your registration link.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be confirmed in writing. If EFMD receives notice of your withdrawal before April 21, 2023, a cancellation administrative fee of (75€ local VAT) will be charged. Thereafter, we regret that we are unable to refund any fees. However, in such cases substitutes are welcome at no extra cost as long as EFMD receives notification of the name, title and address of the substitute.

Please note that until we have received your payment (or proof of payment) you won’t have access to the conference mobile app.

Conference Hotel

Should you need an hotel reservation for the duration of you stay, you may consider Le Grand Balcon Hotel where EFMD has reserved a number of rooms.

Price per night is 165€ 3.30€ city tax for a Privilege Room including breakfast. ( 9€ in case of double occupancy).
