Event details

Within just six months, Daimler Truck has upskilled more than 20,000 employees in AI tools like M365 Copilot. This ambitious initiative has turbocharged productivity, elevated work quality, and embedded digital skills company-wide. By providing clear guidance on responsible AI use, Daimler Truck has minimised the risks of inconsistent, non-compliant, or unsafe AI practices.

In this workshop, Miriam Lozano Aviles, head of Daimler Truck’s Learning Academy, and Markus Rettich, head of Global Leadership Programs, will share the successes of their AI enablement initiative, but also discuss the thorny path toward becoming an AI-enabled company within an industrial setting.

The session will be particularly relevant for L&D professionals engaged in AI transformation, as we will jointly examine the practical challenges of realising the AI benefits, beyond the hype. Participants are invited to share their own experiences, challenges and open questions.

Take part in the session with peers from Baloise Group, Bayer, Deutsche Bahn, Mercedes-Benz, MLP, Nokia Solutions, Parker Hannifin, Richemont, Tata Management, Toyota, UBS AG, Volvo Group, and others.

Target group

This workshop is by invitation only, designed for EFMD Company members and guests.

Learning objectives

Becoming an AI-powered company somehow means rewiring the enterprise in terms of workflows, structure, culture, leadership, and continually developing roles and skills. We will openly discuss challenges, including:

  • Building a test and learn culture that accepts experimentation and measured failure in an organisation long governed by efficiency.
  • Developing context knowledge and judgement among junior staff to enable them to focus on more complex responsibilities, as routine tasks are progressively automated.
  • Carefully monitoring and managing talent ripple effects such as skills atrophy, agency erosion, or implications for mental health.

Additional Information

This session will be run using Zoom. For Zoom to work best, we recommend downloading the latest version of Zoom Client for Meetings. If you are not familiar with Zoom, please make sure to connect 15 minutes prior to the meeting. You can test the tool via this weblink.
