Peer-to-peer interactions with colleagues from leading academic institutions around the globe is an essential part of the programme and will enable the participants to share best practices and build their own supportive network of peers.

The programme is thoughtfully divided in five modules, covering the most essential topics for career professionals:

  • Leadership in Careers
  • Career Education
  • Recruiter Relations and Co-Creating Value with Recruiters

  • Career Advising

The Careers Innovation Challenge

With the support of their peers and the programme facilitators, they will formulate an action plan to be implemented in their institutions.

Module 3: Leadership in Careers, Part 1

      • Koen Marichal, Founder of Expertise Center Leadership, Antwerp Management School

“So you think you can lead?”

When it comes to leadership, we easily think of “others”: heroes who have done great things or bosses far above us with a lot of power. The opposite is true. Leadership is the work of many. Especially in times of transition. It’s about making personal choices and learning to see yourself as a leader in ongoing processes of collaboration. A simple, yet challenging thought: how do you see yourself as a leader, what’s your contribution to the whole, what’s your story as a leader? After this workshop, with the support of ’19 thoughts about leadership’ (www.19thoughts.be), you will have gained a deeper understanding of leadership, self-consciousness about yourself as a leader and inspiration for further development.

Module 5: HR Tech, Part 1

      • Dr. Amber Wigmore Alvarez, Chief Talent Officer, Highered EFMD

The incorporation of highly advanced technologies for talent recruitment is a fundamental change that is taking place in global HR. Do you have the tools and resources in place, as well as the expertise within the department, to support recruiters’ data-driven strategies? This module will start with an understanding of the functionality of recruiters’ Application Tracking Systems (ATS) and their direct link with the technology that aims to accelerate matching with relevant candidates, such as CV optimization.
Tasks previously requiring human intelligence such as visual perception, language translation, speech and text comprehension are now being performed by AI-engineered features with a high degree of accuracy and are continually being improved upon with machine learning. This technology supports employers’ Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) goals as it allows for candidate profile anonymisation (i.e. name, school, employer, date of birth, etc.) and bias removal.
Learn how HR Tech is revolutionising today’s candidate experience and understand the impact that this will have on your talent’s placement. Other HR Tech, such as behaviour based assessments and the automation of employee referral programs in connection with Linkedin networks, are being used across all industries and will also be discussed during this module. Ensure that you are savvy and articulate on the latest technology in order to effectively prepare your talent for success.
