EFMD Dean’s Circles offer an opportunity to join an international group of experienced deans for one year, to regularly engage with and to explore strategic questions, issues and dilemmas that they are facing.
Circle formation and journey
Designed as a peer-learning space moderated to give deans information and perspectives on contemporary issues, each circle comprises of six to eight currently serving deans from various EFMD member schools and regions and an expert moderator who has formerly held the role of dean. The participants themselves generate and select themes that are on their minds and that they would like to discuss with the Circle. Where the group deems it valuable to hear an expert opinion on a topic, this input will form part of the circle agenda.
Each EFMD Dean’s Circle includes a face-to-face engagement at the EFMD Dean’s/Annual Conference, as well as five online meetings of two hours each, during the course of one year. Circle meetings are safe (never recorded) spaces designed to allow deans to explore both challenges and opportunities and to build deep, long-lasting networks. Deans who complete the programme are invited to join an alumni community and continue the conversations beyond the programme.
Circle members will benefit from:
Application process: There are limited places and the members are selected to represent diversity of contexts and perspectives. All deans interested in joining are invited for an online conversation with the Programme Director, to be best matched to a circle.
Designed for experienced deans from EFMD member schools, the programme is intended for those with at least 2 and a half years of experience in the dean’s role.
