IFIM Business School, a pioneer in innovations in management education, is organizing an international conclave in association with European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) to facilitate deliberations on challenges faced by institutions providing management education in India.
Education Promotion Society of India (EPSI) and Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) are supporting the conclave to bring together a relevant agenda and participants. The event is expected to be attended by member institutions of EPSI, AIMS, EFMD in addition to Ed-Tech companies and Venture Capitalist/PE Funds aiming to infuse innovation in learning ecosystem.

India’s business schools have strongly accelerated their international positioning in recent years.Accreditation and rankings have played an important role in this context as well as strategic alliances with foreign peer institutions. India is becoming a more attractive destination for foreign study and faculty work and this is likely to go hand-in-hand hand with the enlargement of institutional footprints abroad. The currently debated removal of regulatory entry barriers for foreign universities may be a game changer in itself.

As the strive towards international positioning is picking up momentum, the Indian business school sector must face up to the challenge how to realise international ambitions most effectively. This workshop provides a platform for discussing these issues and the merits of different forms of international positioning.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The workshop will use an overview of EFMD GN’s quality services activities as a starting point to discuss workable pathways towards enlarging a business school’s international footprint andrecognition.
Participants will learn:

  • how to rework the school’s institutional strategy to target improvements in internationalrecognition;
  • how quality improvement frameworks (e.g. accreditations,internationalisation & impact agenda)can be used in support of a school’s transformational journey;
  • how to become an internationally recognised producer of relevant knowledge in the face of tightening financial constraints;
  • how to respond to current market challenges with a more emphasis on relevance, impact & engagement.

TARGET GROUP

The workshop is targeted at business school executives with strategic & managerial responsibilities. These include Deans, Associate/Vice Deans, Programme Directors, Heads of Accreditation and International Relations
