We have designed this seminar as an interactive learning opportunity, crucially involving individual preparation and collaborative learning.
This seminar is for you if:
• your school is pre-eligible for EQUIS accreditation
• your school is eligible for EQUIS accreditation and you are preparing an initial accreditation visit
• you are new in your accreditation role.
Participants will engage with the EQUIS accreditation team who will be available to provide advice during the online group discussion as participants reflect on actual case material with a view to applying their learning to their own situation.
One of the aims of this seminar is to create a supportive community where participants can learn and exchange ideas with each other.
This two-week online seminar consists of four modules scheduled as follows:
• Module 1: Tuesday 7 March 2023, 14:00 – 16:45 CET
• Module 2: Part I: Tuesday 7 March 2023, 16:45 – 17:30 CET
• Module 2: Part II: Thursday 9 March 2023, 14:00 – 15:30 CET
• Module 3: Tuesday 14 March 2023, 14:00 – 17:00 CET
• Module 4: Thursday 16 March 2023, 14:00 – 16:45 CET
Module 1: Bringing the Standards and Criteria to life
• Understand the key elements in each of the Standard and Criteria
• Gain knowledge of the evolution and latest revisions to Standards and Criteria
• Enhance appreciation of how to nuance a School’s narrative in relation to Standards and Criteria
• Discuss in some detail the present questions of most interest for the participants
Module 2: The Datasheet
• Part I – Requirements of the Datasheet
How to write a good Datasheet, Dos and Don’ts, Data collection
• Part II – Assessment of Datasheets
Demo of the OX format
Module 3: The SAR
• Part I – Understanding the SAR
Understand the role of the SAR in the context of an EQUIS accreditation process Group work of comparison and consistency of the SARs
• Part II – Producing the SAR
Make yourself familiar with examples and practise its assessment
Explore the requirements for creating a good SAR
Module 4: The Peer Review Visit

Learn from a school’s experience
In between these live sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to work asynchronously (individually as well as in peer groups). These modules will focus on interpreting and applying the Standards & Criteria, analysing Datasheets, understanding the role of the SAR in the context of an EQUIS accreditation process as well as discussing its purpose and the potential benefits for the school and finally learning how to prepare an effective Peer Review Visit shared by the live experience from an invited school. Time will be allocated for Q&A sessions. This will enable participants to clarify any questions they have on the accreditation process and interact with their peers through breakout sessions which will also form part of this seminar. To get the most out of the seminar, individual preparation and active participation is vital.
During two weeks of this interactive seminar you will:
• Interpret and apply the Standards and Criteria
• Understand the purpose and requirements of the Datasheet
• Learn how to prepare a good Datasheet
• Understand the role and purpose of the SAR in the accreditation process and the potential benefits for the School
• Explore the requirements for creating a good SAR
• Learn how to organise an effective Peer Review Visit
Prerequisites
It is essential that participants have read the EQUIS core documents (Standards & Criteria, Process Manual and Annexes) before the start of the seminar.
Keep in mind
We will admit a maximum of 25 participants to enable a better learning experience for you and to facilitate close interaction with the experts and other participants.
Registration will be based on a first-come-first-served basis.
Depending on availability, only one representative per institution will be admitted to the workshop. A second representative from the same institution wishing to participate will initially be placed on a waiting list and allowed to attend only if the 25-participant limit is not reached.
This workshop will be run using Zoom. To ensure the best Zoom experience, we recommend that you install the latest version of Zoom Client for Meetings.

Please set aside 1 hour to prepare and send some questions you might have on the Standards and Criteria (S&C), 2 hours for reading your Datasheets part and another 2 hours for a group get together to agree on a joint assessment. For the Module on the Self-Assessment Report 3 hours pre-work will be required.

Seminar fees:
EFMD Full member: 900€ (+ 21% VAT if applicable)
EFMD Affiliated member: 1200€ (+ 21% VAT if applicable)
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR REGISTRATIONS:
Cancellations must be confirmed in writing. If EFMD receives notice of your withdrawal before 14/02/2023, a cancellation administrative fee of 75€ (+ 21% VAT if applicable) will be charged. Thereafter, we regret that we are unable to refund any fees. However, in such cases, substitutes are welcome at no extra cost as long as EFMD receives the notification of the name, title and address of the substitute.
