Event Details

The rankings’ narrow and singular focus on economic success and individual advantages has been met with increasing criticism from business, but also from within business schools and their students.

Nonetheless, over the past decade there have been increasingly numerous important developments in the business school landscape embracing social impact and sustainability and consequently putting more pressure on Business Schools to integrate social impact and sustainability into their activities.

The upcoming conversation will highlight The Positive Impact Rating for Business Schools (PIR) –  a “by students and for students rating” – focusing on education and business school governance. Launched in 2020, it builds on a positive impact model for business schools and intends to move business schools from becoming the best in the world, to becoming the best for the world.

Thomas Dyllick as one of the founders of the PIR and member of its Supervisory Board will join us in the upcoming session to discuss sustainability and the PIR in more detail.

The discussion will be led by :

  • Thomas Dyllick, Prof. em. University of St. Gallen, Director of The Institute for Business Sustainability, Lucerne, Switzerland
  • Dr. Jordi Diaz, Dean of EADA Business School and Director of the EFMD Executive Academy, Barcelona, Spain

Target Group:

Executive Academy Alumni, Programme Directors, Associate/Assistant Deans of Teaching & Learning and Senior Program Managers with a complete overview of the entire academic cycle (though not necessarily direct responsibility); admissions, programme design & administration, career services and alumni management.
