EFMD Dean’s Circles offer deans energising opportunities to join a group from the EFMD network to jointly explore strategic questions, concerns and dilemmas they face. Dean’s Circles are designed and moderated to generate rich and diverse content that gives deans information and perspectives when needed.
Circle formation and journey
Each circle includes five to seven current deans from diverse EFMD member schools and regions and an expert moderator who is a former dean. At the programme’s start, we support deans in co-designing the Circle themes they will discuss at each meeting. Where the group deems hearing an expert opinion on a topic valuable, this input will form part of the circle agenda.
Each EFMD Dean’s Circle runs over a year and involves starting and closing face-to-face engagements at the EFMD Annual Conference and five online meetings of two hours each during the year. Circle meetings are safe (never recorded) spaces that enable deans to explore challenges and opportunities and build deep, long-lasting networks.
Circle members will benefit from:
We designed the programme for all Deans of EFMD member schools who have completed the EFMD Strategic Leadership Programme for Deans (SLPD). It may be most beneficial to deans in their first deanships or those who have taken on deanships in new environments.
Application process: All deans interested in joining an EFMD Dean’s Circle will be invited to a conversation that will enable them to learn more about the programme and be best matched to a diverse circle.
The tuition fee excludes travel expenses and local accommodation at the EFMD Annual conference.
